- Valves A and B are closed isolating the diffusion pump from the system while valve C is open.
- Once the system has reached 1¡¿10^-5Torr, valve C is closed and A and B are opened, restoring the diffusion pump to the pumping circuit
- Pump oil listed is Dow Corning #704.
